Killer Lawyer
Whenever I close my eyes, I see the lost souls of those who died because I manipulated their case. Screaming, trying to pull me to the afterlife, demanding I swap my life for theirs.
I dare not sleep, all my dreams are nightmares,
I’ve nurtured a stone heart, now even when I cry I shed no tears.
As a Lawyer, it is my duty to protect my client and I go extreme to do that.
I specialize in offering legal aid to Predators in the society.
They call me the Killer Lawyer, because I am always the defense attorney to the Bad guys.
I can make an assassin caught in the act appear to be as one who has never spilled blood.
I can make a notorious robber swear not to know the meaning of violence.
Mind games excites me a lot!. Politicians run to me after a tenure of looting, seeking asylum in my lying tongue, begging to be protected from the law.
I protect the bad guys from jail; I eliminate the rod of justice.
From a small town lawyer called to bar, I became the defender of injustice.
Manipulated my rank from a ragged lawyer among thirsty bar of attorneys to a fierce Judge.
Detectives avoid me, inmates in correctional facility shiver at the sound of my name.
I delight in dark wealth; demons see me as one of theirs for I know no peace.
As I grow old, I often wonder if I can ever find redemption,
Atone for my sins and find spiritual protection,
Seek correction, erase my past and set new goals,
And perhaps dare to salvage my soul from eternal damnation.
But my atrocities are ever before me, and my conscience below the pit of hell.
Thousands have been falsely sentenced to jail, and hundreds to death in my name.
I don’t think I can ever escape from the pain I brought upon all who ever stood against me in court.
Who ever played with Karma and never got hurt?
So as I create pain and leave scars that may never heal,
I know that my karma is like a heavy cloud,
Ready to fall any moment, as I can hear the thunder rumble.
