Introduction: In order to secure a better 2021, there are certain things, rules or principles we should follow to guide our steps. These points are not only rooted in the word of God, but if we follow them in our everyday life, 2021 will be a great year.

Memory Verse: Matthew 6;33 — But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you!

1. Put God First: This is not just the first point but a key point. We need to put God first in all our doings, so he can guide, direct and help us.

Mathew 6;33 — But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you! Judges 20;18, 23, 26.

2. Have a Plan: As you seek God first, your plan must be according to his will for your life. That is why we need to ask God about his plan for us, so we can walk in that light.

Proverbs 16;3 — Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. Jeremiah 29:11 — For I know the thought that I have for you, thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give you an expected end. Proverbs 3;5–6.

3. Focus and pursue the plan with all focus and dedication:

Mathew 24;13 — But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Colossians 3;2.

4. Acquire new skills, be open to learning and re-learning:

Titus 3;14 — But our people should also learn to devote themselves to doing good in order to meet pressing needs, so they aren’t productive.

1Kings 4;29 (God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding, ask him for the same in your new skill and learning endeavor.

5. Network and build productive relationships:

Ecclesiastes 4;9–10 — Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: But woe to him that is alone when he falleth, for he hath not another to help him up.

6. Complain less and appreciate more: Be grateful, have the spirit of gratitude. Appreciate what you have and more will come!

1Thessalonians 5;18 — Give thanks in every situation, because this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

7. Work For God: If you work in God’s vineyard he will work in yours.

Mathew 25:21 — And he said unto him; well done, thou faithful servant, thou has been has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of the Lord. Mathew 25; 14–30, 1Corinthians 12;2, Job 36;11, Colossians 3;23–24, 1Corinthians 3;14.

Conclusion: If we follow these principles, we should be rest assured that according to Philippians 1;6 God who has started a good work, will surely finish it beyond 2021.
