Sexually molested at 9 by a father-figure related by blood. Now family is just a word, cos ties had been broken and boundaries crossed.
Gang rapped at 16. A stigma had been put on her, and the memories of that encounter left a scar beneath a healing wound. She could still feel her throat ache from screaming that night. Crying…begging… but they were too high on her glowing skin and protruding breasts, to hear her wailing in vain.
It was normal for Dad to beat Mom. It happens at least twice a week. She even got a share of the beating whenever he had her time.
By now she had raised a high wall with thorns around her heart. Because when she let her guard down and fell in love, it ended in a heartbreak. Every man who came close to her was on a mission of hit and run. And if you’re too nice, you become a suspect.
She grew up hating men.
These creatures are beasts and they need to be tamed. At least that’s what her lesbian friends say.
Thoughts of suicide was regular. Tears was like a lullaby, cos she could only sleep well if she cried at night.
She feels God is either a myth or a man. If he was real and female, he won’t let men escape these inhuman acts.
Can’t love, can’t be loved. If you try to save her you will get drowned.
And even though she has a choice of letting the past go, she clings to her pain and feeds off the hatred it breeds. Letting go is easier said than done.
She wholeheartedly believes the wrong assertion that all men are the same, and anyone against that notion is an enemy.
Like the permanent tattoo across her chest, she believes that from her father to the Pope….all men are scum.
