Crossroads by UmehWrites
I’ve been here before,
I remember so vividly because the scars are still fresh.
Different time, same place, this is my life’s encore,
My last decision feels like a mistake it was probably a wish.
I remember these paths so well,
how can I forget my encounter in the valley of the shadow of death?
See the marks I made on the walls with my blood,
See the candles I turned off with my tears.
Once again I’m at crossroads,
But I don’t want to make a decision with my head or my heart,
I need a divine encounter,
And even though history has been kind to me, sometimes I doubt if the gods are on my side.
Maybe I’ve been abandoned…Maybe I’m the prodigal son.
Maybe it’s the final test with a reward of the promised crown.
I whispered to the wind, but its reply is like an echo,
I’m uncertain of what to do and scared of the consequences of making another mistake.
If I am a pencil in the hand of the creator,
then let the writings on the wall be boldly seen!
Send your Angels to direct and execute swiftly!
Send help quickly, for I’m too shy to be beaten twice!
Hear me in the day when I call, and at night when I’m restless.
Show me a sign and perfect it with actions.
For I am broken with no piece left in place,
I need a miracle, not a wishful mistake.
